States of Guernsey Election 2004 |
The National Trust of Guernsey in association with The Guernsey Heritage TrustAn AnnouncementThe National Trust of Guernsey The NT of Gsy would like to congratulate all those newly elected deputies, who support the Edinburgh Declaration, on their recent victory. The Edinburgh Declaration calls on Governments and non-Governmental organisations to work together more closely to address the problem of the progressive loss of culture and natural heritage and states that Governments should give greater recognition to the benefits arising from the conservation of cultural and natural heritage and should give conservation of heritage a higher political and financial priority. The Trusts note with approval the commitment given by the below to the safeguarding of the Island's natural beauty, history and heritage. |
