The National Trust of Guernsey’s Folk and Costume Museum at Saumarez Park, opens for the season on Wednesday 15th March at 10am.
Two exceptional costume exhibitions have been created by Costume Curator Caroline Drake and staff at the Museum.
A taste of bygone Guernsey summers can be enjoyed at our first floor exhibition space, together with a showcase of 20th century beach and cruise fashion for Islanders travelling abroad. A charming second display, focusing on the development of Victorian childhood and featuring some exquisite childhood garments, exhibits on the ground floor of the Costume Museum. Visitors with an eye for extremely beautiful and detailed garments, honed down to a near minature scale, will find the Victorian Childhood exhibition, an enchanting experience.
